An unprecedented crisis with COVID-19 has made man re-think of keeping one-self healthy. It is a known fact that a nutritious diet and optimally functioning immune system lowers chances of contracting the disease. The altered immune system is more often, due to deficiencies of micronutrients, for example, deficiencies of zinc, magnesium, selenium, iron, copper, folic acid, and vitamins A, B6, C, and E.

In the last few months, demand for products with immunity-boosting agents (IBA) has increased. As per the self-care guidelines and recommendations issued by Ministry of AYUSH, drinks with IBA are useful to help optimize the immune system.

So, a proper intake of RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) of Immunity Boosting Agents (IBA) is required for enhancing/ boosting the Immune System to fight the ongoing pandemic situation.

With this in mind DHANTAL FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED, as part of its MISSION to provide healthy fruit pulp based beverages, is introducing:

Jiya Gold Orangee Plus and Jiya Gold Lemonee Plus , the micronutrient fortified liquid beverages , fortified with Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium and Selenium , the Immunity Boosting Agents (IBA).

IMMUNITY

The design of our immune system is complex and influenced by an ideal balance of many factors, not just diet, and especially not by any one specific food or nutrient. However, a balanced diet consisting of a range of vitamins and minerals, combined with healthy lifestyle factors like adequate sleep and exercise and low stress, most effectively primes the body to fight infection and disease.

MAGNESIUM

Mg, as accepted worldwide, is not only an essential cofactor for more than 350 enzymes, but also involved in energy metabolism. The element has a significant role in synthesis of protein and nucleic acid and is required for normal vascular tone and insulin sensitivity. Furthermore, it is needed for the proper function of the immune system.

SELENIUM

Selenium plays an important role in the health of a person’s immune system. This antioxidant helps lower oxidative stress in the body, which reduces inflammation and enhances immunity. Studies have demonstrated that increased blood levels of selenium are associated with enhanced immune response.

ZINC

Due to self imposed dietary restrictions as well as low intake of trace minerals, marginal zinc-deficiency is very common. Zinc and Iron and deficiencies can be prevented by taking supplements or increasing the intake of fortified beverages.

NUTRIENTS

Examples of nutrients that have been identified as critical for the growth and function of immune cells include vitamin C, zinc, selenium, iron, and protein (including the amino acid glutamine).

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C has a role in several metabolic pathways including the synthesis of the connective tissue protein, collagen, conversion of dopamine to the neurotransmitter noradrenaline. Vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy.
